We were all set to play at the Open Source in Philly tonite, but unfortunately they were turning out the electricity at the venue. So, since were had the time scheduled anyway, we decided to make a track in honor of the event. Here it is, our first track Closed Source.

Closed Source.mp3
 Description:
Closed Source

Recorded live - nothing added or taken away. No editing. Hardcore.

I love the tones and textures. Very lively. Did you record this live or was this a studio effort?

Cool piece guys! Really liked the contrasting sonics & stylings - seemed very right brain/left brain. And very smooth for a live performance. well-done

Zynthetix and Mosc played on two G2s, as best I can remember...

might have been a G1 and a G2 at that point? The modulations sound "smoother", I think due to the fact that the G1 had knobs that were physically harder for me to turn...that, and I've never quite made a patch with the G2 that sounds exactly like the one on the recording (I'd still be using it if I did)...I'm thinking its a difference in stock filters and phasers, can't quite remember what was in it though.

Soundwise I was thinking to hear an NM Classic, and was thinking that maybe I should not neglect it as much as I do ( thought it sound pretty well ) ... but the sounds of the synths seem to mix a bit and I couldn't quite hear which was which & what is what.

Thanks for your replies,

I agree, and a morning metaphor works very well. I can hear the chirping of the boron birds and the humming of the tantalum flies. Very nice.
