Hello again.

This synth may well please those of you that BCR Ctrl synth 3 didn't... it can fairly easily attain sounds of a more original nature. It is basically the same structure as BCR Ctrl synth 3 with a few changes.

Firstly, all of the oscillators are Shape A Oscs. Instead of Osc 4, we now have Filter 3, which can be routed in either parallel or serial. At first I used switches to automatically change both filter 3's input and output mode at the same time, but then realised that there were situations when independant control was preferred. So, the input can either have the full Osc Mix signal (Parallel) or the output of Filter 1 through Filter 2 (Serial) and the output can either be on its own (Serial) or with Filter 1 & 2 (Parallel). Filter 3 has the same modulation options as Filter 2. Finally, the AM module has more audio sources to choose from.

As with synth 3, the patch load is quite heavy, but unneccessary modules can be deleted/downsized to cheaper modules when you have your sound and patch loads of around 40% are then easily achievable.

As the structure is essentially the same as BCR Ctrl synth 3, the attached control preset for the BCR2000 is also mainly the same, with the previous Osc 4 controls being given to Filter 3 module. I have attached the relevant BCR2000 files to the next post and the G2 files to this post.

I used this synth, a BCR Ctrl Synth 3 and a Drum machine patch together with some sequencers in a performance which will give you some idea of the sounds in action: http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-11215.html

Have fun Very Happy

Here are the BCR2000 files.

Control of almost every parameter of this synth is available by loading the attached MIDI file into a Behringer BCR2000 unit. Controls have been laid out (where possible) so that if there are 6 knobs on a particular module, then there will be 6 knobs assigned in the same order and buttons are also laid out in a (fairly) logical order, etc.

For the few of you that may want to see the control list clearer, or make adjustments, I have also attached the Word document that it was created on.

Have fun Very Happy
