damn, elektro...
i heard you were the man around these here parts.
basically... (if this helps you help me any)...
when i'm in the editor, and try to either "patch>save in synth" or "synth>upload active slot", i can't because those options are greyed out.
i got:
assertion failed: bubbleport.ccp, line 137
upon opening the editor. |

okay...
had to reinstall software and drivers and this and that...
then... after opening the midi page, in the editor, i have to manually set it to port 1.
(?)
it doesn't sound right to have to do that.... every time...
but...
at least she's working.
if you know how i might be able to avoid having to set this each time, let me know.
thanks again. |

Hmm.. well.. My G4 NM-1 mac is offline right now. I am waiting for a new PSU. Anyways, the NM-1 OS X editor does have bugs, but I do think it is kinda weird you have to configure it every time you launch the app. _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

The official supposedly bugfree ( ) OS 9 version of the editor app is .. well.. almost ( ) bugfree. I have been considering slamming together a G4 with OS 9. I am gettng tired of seriously weird stuff from the OS X version. Sometimes it kinda kicks in on a Fat Freddy´s Cat trip.

so i've been mucking about in ams trying to figure this one out.
here's what happens.
when i open up the nm editor, i have to set the midi ports. there are four ports.
there are two "port 1", one "port 2", one "port 3".
i have to select the second port 1.
i've tried fixing this in ams, but... i guess this is where it gets hairy...
i have a korg microkontrol connected and the properties are auto-assigned and cannot be changed. ("properties cannot be edited on driver-created devices").
the microkontrol has ports 1, 2 and 3. nord has 1, 3.
as i've found very little to help me out on this subject, those ports names may sound totally ridiculous. i'm not really sure.
alls i knows is that it works with a little hassle.
any rumors about an updated osx editor any time soon? |

Did you check ALL of your MIDI cables? I didn't see any mention of this crucial step in your debugging process. |

posted this in the wromg thread sry... Subject description: HELP ME |

Hello all, been reading this thread (and a few more) and been enjoying it muchly.
I have a problem with a Micro Modular I bought off ebay.
I'm using Mac with OSX 10.3 or 10.46 (dependent on which I boot off)
And my Midi is through my novation X25 keybard.
after the editor software loads it brings up a message saying.
Synth exception.
Error in synth..
Open the MIDI dialog and enable the port again.
When I do it looks for the micro again, finds it says V3.03
and brings up the error again..
Any suggestions? |
