About the Wish List forum - tips and suggestions |
|
|
How to use this Wish List forum.
These are suggestions - comments and counter-suggestions are always welcome.
For each wish make a new topic in this forum.
For each topic make the title (subject) as descriptive as possbile.
For each topic add a poll when you make the first posting.
Try to be a complete and descriptive as possible. Imagine a developer was reading your post. Would he/she get enough information to impliment your suggestion? |

I think it would be a good idea to thoroughly check the manual before posting any wishes.
Some of the wishes posted are already available.
When this happens too often it will reduce the value of the wish list I think.

Well, why not shuffle the "Already there"-wishes into some other storage area. In many ways that is a great form of documentation and reference. _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

Mosc, I had an idea last night that would be quite useful for this forum...
I'm not sure if you've seen polls on other forums, but some of them allow you to choose more than one option for your vote. Perhaps you could do a 6 monthly poll of this sort and put in all the feasible wish list options. Then we can all vote for what we want the most (maybe restrict voting to 5 features each or something), and someone could email the results to Clavia? Of course people would have to know about it, so maybe link from the main discussion page so everyone votes. I'm not sure if anyone really looks in the wishlist forum anymore.
It looks like Clavia have finished updating the Stage at the moment, so perhaps this would be a good time to remind them of wanted features with the results of a poll like this one... |

I like this idea of voting!
It's probably easier aswell for the clavia people because everyone seems to have their own wishes and as we all know clavia can't fullfill all those wishes. There should be some priorities and this voting system may be a good way of doing it. |

Well, the poll software the the forum uses will only allow one selection. It could be modified, I suppose but I has too much on my plate to do that any time in the near future. If there are any PHP programmers that would be interested in working on this, I'd like to hear from them. The poll part of the software is all GNU licensed and readily available. _________________ --Howard

Oh, too bad
I know a little php, but not nearly enough to modify a whole polling system. |
