One or better two Frac Racks is exactly what i'm thinking to.
My soldering experiences also became better so that i can take Kits too i think .
Maybe next Year..................
It's nice to have Modules build by yourself.
At this Moment i have the Polivoks Filter from Papareil in work, the first Module i had to get the Parts by my own. (and thats not easy for a beginner ! )
And yes, the Semtex is a nice Peace of work (i have the Rack Version ). It's more less a clone from the Oberheim sem module.
Maybe not 100% as smooth, but on the other side also very usefull for the harder stuff.
A good choice for steppin in into the modular world, and also absolutely enough for it's own. |

That's the next one on my list. What samples I've heard of a Polivoks keyboard makes me really want that filter! I do prefer kits that come with parts. I bought a bunch of Ray Wilson PCBs early this year and still haven't even bought the parts for them. Meanwhile I've got two racks' worth of Blacet modules built.
If you could, make a posting when you build your Polivoks filter. There are no samples of it on Papareil's page, and I'd like to hear it in action. |

Found this Link in a Thread at the german synthesizerforum.de
there you find a sample
http://matrixsynth.blogspot.com/2006/04/polivoks-filter-clone.html
It seems to be a good choice to build it with the UA776 chip.
(When having the Papareil PCB. If it is on others the same i don't now.)
I hope that my one will work.
And if it works well, i can make some. |

Wow, that sounds great. I need to order one of those PCBs and take a shot at building that. Thanks for the link. Be sure to post some samples when yours is done. |
