Hi all

Does anybody here know of a (very) simple envelope generator and VCA that will run on a single power supply ?

The envelope generator needs only to be of the AR or AD type.

Thanks

Mikael

I don't have anything in particular, but I know that a 555 can be used to make a one-shot with a fixed delay. Use a capacitor to smooth out the rise and fall, and you have a very simple EG.

I use some very simple ar types. It´s just a comparator and a lag circuit. Independant charging/discharging of a cab via diodes.
Depending on where the feedback from the last opamp is going you get lin or log responce, so the vca can also be a simple lin type.
This will sustain after the attack phase as long as a gate is present.
The sustain level (=overall level) could be controlled by a pot after the comparator, or with no comp. by the level of the gate.
