Ok, let's make a long story short. First off, I absolutely love GarageBand's sequencer, but GarageBand is very limited on options. I played around with Live Lite and decided to go ahead and buy it. I love the flexibility of Live in that it can be used in Live performances, in DJing, and in studio production. But, I'm not a fan of Live's Sequencer...it's just not very user friendly. I'm also not a fan of Live's built in apreggiator as I believe it's very lacking in comparison to my microKORG's built in arpeggiator.

I have heard from a Cubase user that Cubase's arpeggiator is very good, and Cubase's Sequencer looks much more like the sequencers I'm used to.

Unfortunately, I just can't bring myself to spend $300 on a piece of software that I've never tried before hoping that it does all I've heard it can do. I'd prefer to have some time behind Cubase to decide if it's for me (maybe to replace Live in the studio).

Has Steinberg released a demo of Cubase 3 at all?

Thanks

Wes

Thanks! I prefer to use Mac, but I have a Windows machine that should be able to handle the demo. I really appreciate it! I spent a lot of time looking around on the site but couldn't find anything demo-wise. Thanks for the link!
