I found the circuit for this whilst looking for something entirely different on our attic today. It uses 3 x SAD 1024s, but part values are missing from the circuit. Does anyone have any information on this unit? It was made in kit form by Southwest Tecnical Products Corp, formerly in San Antonio Texas (cue for a song!).

This does seem to be an illusive one. I have not been able to turn up anything on this. I'll scan the circuit when I get a chance and post it for the record - as well as the rest of the ARP Avatar stuff Scott!

Do you know the way to San Anton....no wait.....

I have never heard of this particular device, but I certainly am intrigued by the name and the fact that it uses three SAD1024s. I'm wondering if this is one device where the ever-disappearing SAD1024 could be replaced by something more accessible?

Looking forward to the Avatar stuff, too!

Cheers,
Scott

Here is the circuit - a difficult one to scan as it's so big!

Shocked 4 SAD1024s, and that's just channel 1!!! What an interesting circuit - looks like, even if one had some 1024 stage devices, one would still need at least a few 512 stage devices just to emulate what it's doing....whatever that is. I'll have to print this one out. Looks like it's treating certain outputs as taps. Is it a pre-MN3011 BBD based stereo reverb?

Thanks for sharing this!

Cheer,
Scott

Scott, I've put a block diagram in the zip file.
