Super cool buttons

Was hunting for an ARM JTAG programmer, when I stumbled across this SUPER COOL thing:

4x4 rubber switch buttons (can be broken to 2x2), each with a spot for standard 3mm or 5mm LED. Holy sequencer heaven. The developers use tri-color leds...oooooooo, groovy.

Is beautiful ... reminds me that someone told me a while ago about miniature LCD graphic displays meant to be mounted in buttuns, would make a nice combination Very Happy

The Klee would really benefit from something like this. Initially my heart sunk when I saw the front panels being made- sorry guys, but 19" racks just don't do it for me anymore Shocked

It is a really cool keypad, but I'm not sure what it could do for the Klee (model 2 anyway). Switches on that have to be mechanical in order to store the pattern for later use. If one didn't want that, they would work quite well for pattern switches.

As far as rack - what format are you looking for? There are a few too many controls to really make it a normal sized module - are you talking stand-alone?

It'd be easy enough to make a retro-fit of buttons -> s/r latch -> analog switch for those who want to use this type of thing instead of mechanical switches.

And V-un-v is right, it would be more useful in a desktop unit (ala TB303, etc) vs. a rackmount.
