Im at the moment building a vc compressor to use with my modular, since it may bríng up some noise I though I may need a noisegate along with it , this could of course be accomplished with a vca and an env gen, but since I had a pcb from an old korg ngt-1 noisegate stompbox laying around, I thought I could make some use of that instead

since Im not very good at reading schematics, can someone tell me if it would be possible to make an insert in the circuit somewhere for a cv (or gate) to open the niosegate with ?

here´s the schemo

I'm not sure if I get the question right, isn't the idea of a noise gate that it opens itself once rhe input amplitude goes over a cerain treshold level ?

this is of course correct, I was just wondering how to override that function with a cv or gate voltage

however, someone somewhere else has given me a clue how to do it....

I'd start with the junction of R28 and C15.
