Hi guys and gals,

My name is Andrew, but my chosen artist name as an electronic music artist is Spectral Vector. I am very glad to have found this site. To me it appears to be by far the most well-thought-out, comprehensive and intelligent site out there that is dedicated to electronic music. Plus, I'm excited by the quality of the discussions I've been reading here.

The timing of my finding electro-music.com is interesting, as I have just finished my "debut effort" in electronic music. I haven't even mastered it yet, but that is about to happen. It's ambient, but to give a clearer picture perhaps one could call it "organo-world-psy-ambient." That may not capture it at all though. I struggle to place a genre on it because (as so often is the case with music that possesses multiple influences) it is very difficult for me to say just what it is. Genre tags don't mean all that much anyway. But I look forward to some of you helping by telling me what you would call it. And my follow-up will no doubt be yet a different style. Anyway, I look forward to sharing it with all of you and getting your feedback. All I need to do is get it mastered and then set samples up for internet distribution etc., help with which I believe I will find here.

I look forward to a long and happy membership here. Here's hoping you're all doing well.

cheers,
Andrew/Spectral Vector

Thanks, Spectral, and welcome. What a great review, and we didn't even have to pay you. Shocked

Most of us here aren't into genres or classification. Big beat, IDM, ambient, hard core, space, new age, trip hop, dance, trance or whatever, it's all electro-music to me.

Anyhow, whatever it is, I look forward to hearing it.

I used to live in the Bay Area during some of the 60s and all of the 70s. North Bay Area, is that Marin County?

Sonoma County actually, but that's right above Marin and I find myself in Marin quite a bit.
