Immersion is a free-entry experimental music/sound-art event presenting a relaxed soundtrack of ambient journeys, chilled electronics, sound experiments, improvised terrain and tones/drones.

Immersion is an arena for new and established artists from the UK, Europe and the USA, performing live experimental electronic music; using laptops, synthesizers, field recordings, circuit-bent electronics and prepared/processed instruments.

All sounds are partnered by stimulating projected visuals processed live and tailored for each performance to complete the audio/visual experience.

The Flea-Pit is a unique café-bar/arts venue with comfortable retro furniture - and a gallery/performance area, in the heart of east/central London’s vibrant art scene and is located only five minutes away from Shoreditch High Street. Nearest tube: Old Street (exit 2).

------------------------------------------------------------
The Artists featured in Immersion 30/11 are:
------------------------------------------------------------
Ezekiel Alexander:

‘Utilizing found objects and toys as sound sources, then manipulating live audio and computerised synthesis with laptop to create rich sonic textures’.

http://www.alchemusick.com/
------------------------------------------------------------
Fari Bradley:

‘Taking her own catalogue of field recordings from nature and music concrete, Fari hunts out rhythms within the spooky isolation of an urban setting and encases them in electronica. She builds soundscapes from these that are as close to the ear as to the modern heartbeat, a heartbeat which leans ever increasingly towards the arrhythmic’.

Fubsan:

------------------------------------------------------------
krgn:

------------------------------------------------------------
Mandelbrot:

'Focusing on the experimental side of guitar manipulation, utilizing effects pedals and samplers to a much greater degree to create some mind-bending sounds. From a melodic base, the sound evolves in many directions, from digital crackle to white noise, from ebowed drones to subsonic lowends'.

------------------------------------------------------------
Regolith:

‘Regolith will be performing a narrative work for flute, guitar and electronics. Over a tectonic drone the live instruments will illuminate the actions of the characters in a dark and ancient Japanese fairytale, spoken by an unseen narrator’.

------------------------------------------------------------
SS_R:

Presents a series of ambient noise/rhythmic feedback and FX loop experiments, originally recorded live onto minidisc. No programming – no overdubs.
------------------------------------------------------------
Transphormetic & yesyesnono:

‘Oli Laurelle & Paul Prudence are real-time visual performer's working with generative systems and processed video to create graphic sound-responsive works. They work separately under the names of yesyesnono and Transphormetic, as well jam together for a unique brand of abstract experimental visual hedonism’.
