Hello.

I would like to begin mixing my own music with an MIDI controller. I have downloaded the free music software Mixere and used that to make a few songs, but it gets so tedious using the keyboard and mouse to mix, so I would like to turn to an MIDI controller and software.

Where should I start? I would like to use a USB MIDI Controller, because my laptop does not have MIDI IN. Also, what software and controller should I use? I have a very tight budget, so I don't want anything too expensive. I also would like a controller that has the knobs and buttons, not the keyboard type. I'm not too good at keyboards.

Thank you!

Hi and welcome

I use Behringer's BCR2000, which I think is great, and also I think it's about as cheap as you can get. They also have a fader version in BCF2000. There are a couple of topics already on these controllers - try doing a search.

Mixere looks cool, I'm having problems reaching SourceForge on the net currently, but I will probably check it out more later. Love the free stuff! Very Happy

/Stefan
