Hi,

First of all, you have a nice forum here! I am new and I was wondering what sequencer you use in combination with your Cwejman S1? I own a Cwejman S1 and I am looking for a sequencer with that typical analogue feel and control. Of course you can go for a full analogue type sequencer, like the Analogue Systems RS-200 Sequencer system, which you can also use for wave shaping, or a midi sequencer like the Doepfer MAQ, Sequentix P3 or Manikin Schrittmacher (the last two come highly recommended so I read, because of their analogue feel and extensive options). Both types have of course their own strengths and weaknesses, but maybe you could offer me some advice?

By the way, I don't use a sequencer for pure rhythm creation, more for slowly evolving ambient patterns, so I don't know for sure if elaborate sequencers like the Sequentix P3 and Manikin Schrittmacher might be a little overkill, or on the other hand maybe really suited for the job. Thanks in advance!

Best wishes, David.

I got rs-200 system for sale.
It's also cool because you can use it as an oscilator.

Keep in mind too that the P3 has been discontinued.

The Analogue Solution Oberkorn mkii is very nice to work with. It is fast, intuitive and simple, offering 3 x 16 CV and 5 x 16 gate channels, as well as CV skip step/jump to another step functions.
The Doepfer MAQ use menue programming and I never has became a real friend to it, even though I have owned it for quite a while.
If you want a stand alone gear, I´m sure you should try it.

There's a slider version of the oberkorn too which seems pretty nice. I haven't had a chance to try one so i can't say much about it. It has only 1cv and 2 gate channel. http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~concuss/concussor/aspics/sl16.jpg

And there may also be a possibility that Sequentix would release a new sequencer next year, but i can only speculate that for now ...
