I recently bought a 3-octave NMG2. It is in perfect condition except one encoder, wich seems to be pretty much used (no surprise) and I think it will die soon. I looked into G2, here's the data written on the encoder (BTW, the led's are on a plate, not a part of the encoder, which gives a certain amount of hope).

The encoders are:
Bourns
03158-09701 Rev A C5
THL-55
ECW1D-C24-SE0049L
MEXICO 0617X

Now BOURNS has a datasheet http://bourns.com/data/global/pdfs/ECW1J.pdf that explains what does this ECW1D-C24-SE0049L means. "S" letter goes for housing terminal configuration, but there's no S there in datasheet. There's no E0049 code either...

I sent a letter to Bourns to get a datasheet for it and find out is there an encoder currently in production that can replace that one. So I post this here -- maybe someone has replaced broken encoders on NMG2?

Nope. I'm trying to find similar Bourns encoders in my country.
