Hi there,

Got a problem with my Tascam FW-1082 interface and Cubase SX 1.0.5

I think it is a problem related to drivers or software/firmware...

The transport controls on the Tascam don't work. Also the channel select, solo, and mute buttons (on each channel above the faders) - they used to light up and actually function but now nothing...

The CONTROL PANEL button on the Tascam works and opens the FW Manager. I have 'Control Protocol' set to Cubase SX / Nuendo as usual

It's been ages since I used the desk and I've since upgraded my OS to Tiger 10.4.11. Since then I have been here:

http://www.tascam.com/products/fw-1082;9,14,44,19.html

I have not downloaded the v1.50 Mac OS X Installer as I just installed v1.60... do I need to install both?

I've been inside Cubase to the 'Device Setup' and everything there seems fine... Cubase recognizes the inputs and I've recorded things in through the Tascam's inputs, no problem. But the whole reason behind me buying the FW-1082 was so that I could use it to mix! I really digged those automated faders and being able to control Cubase with the big chunky transport buttons... Sad

Can someone shed some light on what's wrong? I'm going to a little crazy here! Wink

Thanks, all the best,

Anthony

I figured out the problem: Inside Cubase > Device Setup > Mackie Control > I selected 'FW-1082 Control Port', and got all the surface controls working again
