Wogglebug #3 PCB groupbuy |
 |
|
NOTE: I'm not organizing this groupbuy - so please contact unit-sound if you're interested
- unit-sound posted this in the Wogglebug thread, but *I* think it deserves it's own
I've had some nice discussions with Ryan about this board during the past year - he's spent a while testing it and working out all the kinks. In other words, this one's a winner _________________ Sneak-Thief - raw electrofunk |

Thanks for the honor.
I have received the first offer from the pcb manufacturer:
PCB order data:
Measurements: FR4 109 x 99 x 1,5 mm CU 35
Type: 2-layer PCB with protective seal & position printing, edge cutted
Price per PCB: 7.10 EUR (Price per PCB of a batch of 50 PCB)
Base Costs: 2 EUR per PCB.
Based on that, i calculate the following for the groupbuy:
Price per PCB in Europe (incl. Shipping): 10 EUR + s&h
Price per PCB in USA ( incl. Shipping): 15 USD + s&h
S&H = letter with bubblewrap (1.5 EUR) + postage ( approx. 2-4 EUR)
In order to get binding orders now, we'll start the groupbuy today and it closes in 30 days (08/10/07) or when we reach a batch of 50 earlier.
All relevant information can be found here:
http://diy.czmok.de/Group-Buys.66.0.html
Order information can be found there as well. |

Hi Fernano,
i tried it to make it as easy for everyone. HAndling 50 Orders (or even more ... who knows) need some kind of organization.
With the form (and a database behind) it's a bit easier to handle. |

there's something I don't understand...
it is 10 euro for europe includding shipping
+ 1,5 bubble envelope
but then 4 euro again for postage?
I already paid but then I realized something seems to be wrong...
edit: all clarified now (see below), I missunderstood, sorry (siesta time here )

the page says: "Price per PCB in Europe (incl. Shipping): 10 EUR + s&h" - so "incl. shipping" = "s&h"
fyi: shipping cd-sized packages within germany is about 2 euro, but up to 4,50 euro in other eu countries. _________________ Sneak-Thief - raw electrofunk |

Okay, i need to outline:
The price from mme per pcb is calculated like this:
board price 7.10 EUR + setup costs(partial) 2EUR + shipping costs FROM mme to me (0.50) = 10 EUR approx.
and the shipment from me to you is extra (that is the s&h fee).
I updated the webpage. Thanks for pointint that out. |

Will the boards include a parts list and panel connection diagram?
Thanks for organizing this.

So... We are at 55 now.
The possible batches are : 10/25/50/100/250/500/1000
Either we take 45 more OR i need to cancel 5 PCB's from the list.
I have asked for the price of 100 pcs, maybe we can save/return a small amount of money per PCB.
So... if you haven't ordered, do so please |

Update for all:
I have ordered the bubble wrap covers,
i also have ordered 80 PCB's (we're currently at 74 orders) if they
agree to my terms (usually they do either 10/20/50/100).
So.. I'll expect to arrive the stuff within the next 3 week maximum.
I'll keep you all updated. Those who are on the list and still with "req" please make sure to send your payment soon...

| Well that order form should be easy to use but I think I've messed it up with my order for 1 board. Could you check for me and let me know if you need any other data. |

Hi Guys,
Please check http://diy.czmok.de/Group-Buys.66.0.html
for errors. I have now booked & edited all payments, orders and everything.
The PCB's are ordered now, as well as the packaging for it.
I still have a lot of unpaid requests ... Please take care to pay them within the next 7 days because i need to do partial payment of the order ( due to the volume).
Thanks to all who payed already. |

i really appreciate the way you're going about this... online order submission (rather than postings via the board), keeping track and publishing who's ordered, how many, payment status... with so many PCB offerings lately, this really helps me out as i'm sure it does you.
and not least, thanks for undertaking the entire project!

Thank you ! It's a community thing. Fonik and others did some good orders as well. We all want the community to grow. And at last: we all want to have fun with our music (and the synths/modules we built).
I also thank you all for the massive participation ! |

well... there is a substential interest in the module ... i'll probably do another run when we're thru with the first one. it takes a considerable amount of time to do all the preps, packages et al.
so ... good news to the ones who couldn't get some in this batch. |

Just as an update for all:
I spoke with mme-pcb prior to the weekend. Due to the holidays and many orders in parallel they have a delay in the production. even worse, that one machine needs to be serviced.
He'll expect to have full capacity later this week, so i will (finally) have those in the next 10-14 days and then start the shiparound.
I'll keep you updated.

Hey Jan,
I've been jumping up and down listening to this crazy Wogglebug video here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFjz-ogqLk4
and listening to Grant's awesome Krell Fantasy http://www.wiard.com/samples/Krell%20Fantasy.mp3
I know I'm a little late to the party, but is there any chance of squeezing in an extra board, or doing another run?
(Its for my spaceship)
this circuit sounds ace!
Thanks Julian |

Due to the large interested in this module we surely will do a second run, however, i probably need to find another supplier as the current one (mme-pcb) has LARGE delays and BAD communication. he confirmed me that they are in production ( the pcbs) but have no definite date yet
and it's way overdue... |
