Hey, Detox,

I did some googling on you. I see we have some common interests, you're into loopers as well?. I also bent a my music center.

My workshop will be an introduction for first time benders , nothing very hi-tech. I want to focus mainly on the fun aspects of bending, interface design, finding cool and cheap parts in junk electronics to be recycled. Maybe make an external controller or generic bender's console. All depending on what people want to do, so let's hear it.
More expericenced benders could consider it a " get together/ soldering party".

Costs and financial compensations will depend on participants needs. We have some buget and faily good technical facilities available, tell me what you need.

I hope you can join our meeting.

I consider your offer, but I have some other commitments made I'll have to finalize before I can offer you money.

And hey, recycling parts is my subject!

I saw your youtubes, nice work. I have some old and sturdy floppydrives you can have for free , that might tempt you to to come anyway. Maybe you could do a demo on how you made this:

Did you do a wobblevision? I have a very cute little portable tv (screen ~ 20x18 cm) that is said to be working, free for anyone to make a wobble tv on the spot.

I'll be taking more free stuff with me that I gathered too much of. Who else is coming?

Train ticket would be cheaper Razz A demo on the floppy wouldn't take long.. How 'bout a co-op scavenging workshop Smile

Yup I did a mini wobble vision.. 5 Inch screen.. Gas Mask infront of it.. Fit's perfectly.

Sure, that's an option, but I've got some other activities to attend to as well, so since you came with the idea first you can be the master, and I will chip in if you want. We can just wing it I suppose.

I have scored 3 old qwerty keyboards, each with over a hundred very reliable momentary switches. (oops, did I give away one of your secret weapons?), so I'll have a desoldering contest saterday june 27. You get 5 or 10 minutes to desolder and keep the keys, whoever did the most gets another 5, lovingly desoldered by your's truely.

Dates are: tuesday may 26, tuesday june 2, monday june 8 , tuesday june 16 and saterday june 27.

When would you be able to come?

Allright, I'll probably be able to cover some of your expences then. If you send me a private message we'll discuss further plans.

All the qwerty's I've ever opened had membranes and not actual switches. And I never use those miniature switches that can't screw onto anything. But if I ever need ALOT I know where to look...

I could basicly attend any of those days..

PM sent..

I should have emphasized OLD qwerty keyboards, like from 386 computers, look for older brands like e.g. IBM etc.. They have a certain tactile "mechanical chunckiness" or clicky feel to them.

Organization turned out to be somewhat sluggish, forcing me to slightly abandon the "all circuitbending" approach, but it's been a nice experience anyway.

June 27 has been a very laid back afair. We spent a sunny afternoon with some soldering, chatting, drinking, smoking.

Thanks to all that came.
