I was looking for a way to make sound more distant, ambient.
The following simple patch is based on multiple delays (each with different time to simulate miltiple reflections) followed by some differently tuned comb filters ( to simulate random absorbtion in a room, say by objects and people).
The patch can be used to feed any audio thru, or use it as a second slot on a performance to add 'distance' to a synth patch....

Variations 1 ..3 are increasingly distant.

Richard.

I like it. For me, variation 3 is a bit too much for instruments with sharp attack (like piano sounds), as you start to hear multiple delays there. For strings: nice! Thanks thumb up

Hoi Fozzie, bedankt. (thanks)

The patch could probably be improved by adding a bandpass (or higpass) filter for each channel - because bass signals tend to drop of with increasing distance - and maybe adding very little phasing.

I am also thinking of a similar patch were the audio signal starts in the left corner (far away), then comes foreward to the middle (including doppler effect) and then goes to the far right (distant again), with doppler.

Richard
