Calendar Event: March 19, 2011
Electric Man (aka Steve Perlsweig) is well known to the Philadelphia Folk Festival scene for having developed portable electric guitar-based gear that would withstand the no-power and harsh weather environment of the campgrounds. The equipment has evolved to include sequencers and mouth controllers, as well as a full range of guitar effects boxes. The performance is always high-energy and tends toward rock band cover tunes, with an electronic twist. Steve also teams with his wife Jeannette for some folk-style music. Performances (outside of PFF) are rare, so this one is worth catching.
