SDIY gathering at EMS in Stocholm April 14!

EMS has decided that 2011 is "Hardware year", come to our DIY get-together and be inspired!

Anyone who is interested in building, modifying or repairing synthesizers and other devices is very welcome to join us. Don't expect tuition led by a teacher, but rather a forum where we learn from eachother. Nevertheless, we will organize lectures, workshops and DIY evenings for beginners and advanced builders alike, within the context of these get-togethers. This time we added an extra hour since the last time was such a success!

Iain McCurdy, who is going to be guest composer at EMS that week, will talk about his work the first hour of the get-together. He has made some pretty amazing instruments and controllers, look at his work at his site:

Fredrik Zetterling, the creator of the excellent "SokkOS"-operating system for the x0xb0x-bassline synthesizer will be attending and offer advice and tips if you want to upgrade.

Feel free to bring you own constructions, drawings, sketches etc. Soldering-irons and ordinary tools can be borrowed on location.
