A treat for Roland 100M lovers - rare schematics!! |
 |
|
I've seen most of the 100M schematics elsewhere on the www, but never these (maybe I missed them) which are from my personal stash. So here we have the 165 portamento controller, 173 signal gates and 174 parametric. As far as I know, these three were later modules and don't appear in the original service notes, which can be found here:

I just got around to scanning them today, and will be hosting them on my website. I built the 173 into a system many years ago, it's a great little module. 174 is probably useful too, but I never built it. As for the 165, hmmm, pretty complex for what it does, never built it or used one.

You're welcome! I'll certainly be doing a layout for the 173 over the coming months. _________________ http://www.frequencycentral.co.uk/ |

Looks like equalizer to me ,or something like that ,i just see now it has also Q setting for each band that should be a nice module i think |

4 x Signal Gates. Each signal gate kinda like a VCA, but is either on or off, no in betweens. It has both normal and invert control inputs, so you can use two signal gates together for hard panning or multiplexing. If you send a clock through as a signal, and S/H as a controller you can do random gates. Also useful for switching on and off modulation sources. A really useful module. _________________ http://www.frequencycentral.co.uk/ |

Nice. Thanks for posting those!
The Portamento module is strange. Haven't wrapped my brain around it yet. |
