It looks cool, but I am confused. Other than using an ATMEGA processor for this project, I am not sure how it is an Arduino project. Are you saying that this project could be done by using the Arduino's processor directly, bypassing the Arduino OS? Or are you saying the project could be redesigned to use the Arduino OS? Forgive me, I am a novice in terms of DYI stuff.

I had the impression that it was using Arduino as a whole, but it sounds like I should have looked at it more closely before jumping to that conclusion.

I wonder if it couldn't be done with Arduino anyway, but not something I'd have time to pursue any time soon.
