This will hopefully be the final installment in my obsession with generating Shepard tones (see http://www.electro-music.com/forum/topic-5521.html and http://www.electro-music.com/forum/topic-2513.html). This is a normal drawbar organ most of the time.. but move the pitch stick and the pitch will rise, or fall, forever.

The mod wheel also gives a pretty decent Leslie effect. Several variations give different organs, infinite jet sounds, etc.

Couldn't have done this without g2ian's variable slope LFO building block (at http://www.electro-music.com/forum/topic-5528.html)

Oh, you twisted demon you. Twisted Evil

It is worth the price of the G2 for this patch alone. Very Happy

I went to the Trips Festival in San Fransisco back in 65 and there was someone playing a B3 with some sort of switch hooked up to cause it to drift up and down. He was really wiggin out the acid freaks. At the time, I didn't know what Acid was, I went there because the poster looked cool.
Shocked That night my education got started. Anyway, it was quite an effect, but this blows that out of the water. The fact that you can start and stop the glides with the pitch stick is very cool. Also, I like that new notes reset the new note, but hanging notes keep on drifting.

I know you have been working on this for a long time, but it was worth it. Amazing...
thumb up surprise salut cheers love shakng2 compress cool

Hey, this patch is nice. Playing with the morph(noise) will give some cool horror choir effects. Thanks for sharing Smile
