The single chip sample and hold looks great- but if it's included into the SoundLab, if you are not using it, there aren't other uses for it. What I'm angling at is that its internal clock source appears only to be a pulse generator.

The mk 2 version on the other hand appears to be clocked by a classic oscillator/ comparator circuit where a triangle wave can be tapped from the first op-amp. This would be very useful for the s+h becoming a second (basic) lfo for other purposes.

Would this circuit also operate from +/- 9v? I haven't got any breadboards at the moment so I can't test it.

PS, talking of breadboards, a couple of years ago I found Scott Sites rather excellent website (lots of Ray's stuff on there too). His modular is entirely built on breadboards (my kind of thinking Scott- this would drive my girlfriend up the wall!- full marks:)). I do recommend looking at his site if you haven't already done so. He also makes excellent electronic music :)
