DIY synth based on MusicFromOuterSpace.com components. The first true synthesizer to come out of the lab. Built on prototyping breadboards two to four hours at a time over a four-week period. I may tear it apart soon, or I may mount it on cardboard. I haven't decided yet. I need my breadboards back Razz But I might try to build a keyboard from bits of 22AWG solid core wire, so maybe I'll keep this around in some form until that's done.

Circuits used: Pitch controlled by MFOS VCO Calibrator. One MFOS Modular VCO (oscillator, ramp output only), fed thru MFOS Mini-Synth VCF (filter), then thru Mini-Synth VCA (amplifier). MFOS Mini-Synth Attack-Release Envelope Generator controls cutoff frequency of VCF and amplitude (volume) of VCA. Output runs to a slapdash TDA2002 chipamp and the black speaker you see on the left.

It's a little unwieldy. Some controls seem to affect unrelated items. For example, decreasing the envelope CV amount seems add VCF resonance for some reason. Part of it could be because the VCO and VCA are 12v, and the EG and VCF are 9v. Hard to say. I don't completely understand how it all works yet.
