What is the mathematical symbol that is used at the top of the editor next to the PVA usage display to show common area usage? I can't type it in because it's not on my computer keyboard and I don't have any math books around so I thought I'd ask the experts here. It's not named in the manual as to it's mathematical name.

the Σ you mean ?

The greek capital letter sigma usually means sum, or summation, in the NM Classic editor it gives the sum of the resources usage of the patch areas if I remeber correctly.

Right.....it's greek. Well I was never in a frat back in my school days so that's my excuse for not recognizing it. I guess it's the summation of the PVA and common area then. Thanks! Very Happy

Sort of, used the character map utility from windows. Which on my computer (XP) is at "start/Programs/accessories/system tools" but I might have dragged it around a bit and I think it's not installed by default. If you can't find it ... go "start/settings/control panel" then select "Add remove programs" select "Add remove windows components" highlight "accessories and utilities" click "details", highlight "accessories" click "details" and put a checkmark before "character map", then click the necessary amount of OK's ....

Oh just thought Greek to be a classical language, like Latin. But I guess in modern Greek the letter is still used.

Hey, instead of calling it the NM Classic, we could just call it the Νορδ Μοδυλαρ Idea

By the way, the Character Map is on the same place on my XP too.
