artists wanted for collaboration project Subject description: A call out from Knowhere Productions for interested parties |

Hi all -my name is Simon and i'm currently involved in organising an experimental music project for Knowhere Productions UK. In a nutshell, the project is a conceptual one and involves artists working in experimental music collaboration. The stress is placed on the final product being superior regardless of outcome -we want to build up a 'contact list' for experimental artists to get in touch with each other and trade tracks for 'remix' or rather reworking.
We are especially looking for people working individually and are currently unreleased -ideally 'bedroom artists' doing experimental music as a hobby/passion or what I deem the 'grand amateur' who has had no formal training on any instrument or production techniques and therefore is more likely to have a 'heathen' approach to music, an approach we feel yields interesting results. I.e. skill or experience is not important, just as long as it can pass as 'experimental' :p
We also plan to attempt a sort of 'secret santa' remix style project where a list member submits a track to be remixed by a random member of the Knowhere list. Just for a larf
The project extends to all media btw, not just music, but we thought we'd start with music. At the moment we're planning the project in detail, setting up websites and collecting a contact list. If anyone is interested, please get in touch at pachubatinath@hotmail.com and we'll let you know when the website is up and how to register for the Knowhere List.
I will be undertaking a 'dry run' of the project with anyone who gets in touch, just to get people used to the idea of the project. Please e-mail me with any questions and let anyone you know who mite be interested.
PS: This project is currently non-commercial, no money is involved at all although in the future we are considering releasing an in-house compilation of the best pieces for limited distribution, if any money is ever involved in this project you will be notified. |

Hi, I am the quintissential music amateur producing creative sounds and video using the ChucK programming language. I like to do weird stuff with the music. For example in my latest project I play the internal brainwaves of an artificial intelligence neural net while it trains and then interacts with what you say. Also recently I made the revving sound of a throaty V8 musclecar engine. My best work to date is the Boolean Sequencing system of generating songs from Binary and algebraic expressions. To see a history of my better work, visit my music site at:

Perhaps some of that prior work would be useful in your project, and perhaps I can do something new for you. Let me know what you think.
