Anyone got any ideas for what we can do next, to get this thing happening?
I have heard of another group in Stockholm who are trying to organise something with circuit bending, but their plans are vague, and they are very quiet (much like me). I am trying to get in touch with them and will post more info about that when/if anything happens.
There is a gallery in my hometown of Norrköping that would host an event, they are opening in a new place in September and I've been invited to do some kind of workshop/party in there. Norrköping is about an hour from Skavsta, the Ryanair airport for the region.
I was also wondering about the upcoming Norberg Festival which has some awesome acts and music. It seems like a wonderful place to host an event, but the end of July is rather soon. I think I'll contact them and see.
Any one else got some ideas? |

I have just been invited to play at Norberg.
I will play with my friend Ex Pmx, we perform under his name.
We will play our home build instruments and some bend toys too.

yes, where when how... Sweden or finland? Soon? I'd like to complete some projects if we´re all gonna perform our music/noise live or show of our projects or something. _________________ YouTube channel

Well, I am organising a short workshop for Norrköping, Sweden, some time in August. You are of course welcome to join!! I don't think it will be a huge event, maybe around 10 people doing a workshop and making a lot of noise, so it's a bit small to consider it some kind of international festival. Should be a lot of fun though! I'll post more about it when I have a definite date and venue.
If people are interested in some kind of elaborate festival, with guest artists and talks and workshops etc, we can try and organise it too! |

We are thinking of having electro-music 2007 in Europe next summer. If anyone is interested in helping, please let me know.
Greg and I can handle the organization as far as getting the artists, schedule, website, CDs, Tee-shirts, ticket sales, etc, but we need local people to get the venue, food (if necessary), PA systems, insurance etc.
The good thing about an electro-music event is we include jams, concerts, lectures, circuit bending, vintage modulars, laptops - everything. _________________ --Howard

Sounds exciting. I'll ask around and see whats going on here. Sadly, I live a little bit away from the excitement and lights but I'll sure lend a hand if I can. What size venue are you looking for? |

Good to know that there are some festival plans going on. I promised to figure out possibilities to arrange something in finland, it took me a while, but now I have made some arrangements.
These are the things that I know are going to be happening:
I will start the dorkbot helsinki events, propably in Happihuone 26-27.8.2006. I have not figured the program out yet, but there will pbopably be some kind of bending-workshop, some lecturing and some live music/sound.
Next dorkbot Helsinki event will be next winter, arranged with katastro.fi, a local media-art collective. I have not been thinking about that event yet, I will start after the happihuone thing.
Pixelache festival is going to continue. It is a broad festival of all DIY things, usyally more digital thought. I will take part of the program planning, the program section will be open source hardware. So there will propably be some bending as well.
We might also have a bending-workshop with the Association of expermental electronics before the festival, but I do not know for shure.
Well those are the things I will be involved in Helsinki, I think we could integrate many things in those.
