Subject description: Suggestion to enable buying and selling of used gear

Is there going to be any provision for facilitating a marketplace for used e-m gear? I have some extra gear I'm not using that I'd like to sell, and I'm sure I'll be in a buying mood from seeing all the cool stuff people are using. Last year I bought a little mono-synth from Mark Jenkins--something I would never have the opportunity to buy from normal outlets--and I love it.

Perhaps a corner of the upstairs space, or one of the side rooms, could be designated as the flea market area. E-m could lay out some minimal rules for how it works. I wouldn't mind paying a nominal "listing fee" to offer things for sale. Maybe $10 flat rate, per item offered (not sold--would be too hard to keep track of transactions), that would go into supporting the entire conference.

Since people wouldn't want to hand around their gear, like a real flea market, it might work to put sign-up sheets, or even bid sheets. People would have to find each other to consummate the sale.

A bulletin board for posting have/wants might work too. That would be much simpler. If we know in advance, we could bring photos and prepared ads.

What do you think?

Steve
