"Analogue Days - The invention and impact of the Moog Synthesizer" by Trevor Pinch and Frank Trocco is not new (Harvard University Press 2002) but it is the first time I found it.
And I recommend it to everybody who is serious in love with cables and filters. It cover not only the connection between the artists and the development of the Moog, it also reveals the reasons why Buchla stayed as the experimentalists choice. There are the story of the VCS3 and ARP machines.
The focus is how technology interfered with musicians and with the market, and the center is Bob Moog. And it is truly a nice story, revealing how things like portamento, hold and temperature stable VCOs appeared in the history.
The main thing on the downside is that i miss the technical describtions on all the synths that are presented. They can be found on other places, but still, I miss them.
Still, I love the book.

Trevor was at EM06, and I bought a copy of his book. Haven't had the time to read it yet. Looks great.

I read "Analogue Days" a few months ago, and I must say that it was hard to put down. This is MUST reading for any synth head. Great job, Trevor!
