new product Subject description: while I'm posting |

While I'm here I thought I would let you guys know that I have been scouring the forums looking for info on waldorf and have come across some interesting things.
I first read that some guy stated that he actually called waldorf and they let it spill that they had plans to revamp the xt or xtk into something really special (no way to confirm that one, but we can hope!)
I then came across this interesting thread that you all might want to read.

You have to log into this forum to make the link work for some reason, I don't know why. You can also hit google and type in waldorf CME card and it will be the first thread. Basically it is a thread from the ableton site. This guy is claiming he has played with the new waldorf product. It is supposed to be available in germany. Right now it is a sound card put out by stadler electronic. It is supposed to be installed into a CME midi controller. This guy thinks he can install it into his Novation tho. He apparently is saying there will be a hardware version by Christmas. We can hope. All of this is what I have picked up from other forums of course. It cold all be rumors and wishful thinking. I can tell you that this stadler product is on the market and you can get it here.

I wonder if it can be installed into a microq, because a microq with a firewire connect to my MAC would rock. |

We already have a thread here about that cute little card for the CME controllers.

ahhhh, very well, I'm new and didn't know. has anybody looked at my other thread. My microq will not send midiclock data using the last official O.S. release. It sends controller data fine, it just wont send clock data. I can revert back to O.S. 2.0 and it works fine. I can switch out synths and it works fine. I can not send midiclock data with O.S. 2.22 ONLY. anybody experience this? |

new interview |
|
|
Here is a new interview with Joachim Flor that you may have not seen. It is from a german site and interpreted to english by google, so it is a little confusing to read. "waldorf" is described as "whale village" (don't know if that is on purpose), and he states that new products are due at NAMM 2007. He also states that they are having troubles finding the right parts to build the synths that they want to put on the market.
note: you will probably have to log in to get the link to work.

I'm holding out for new hardware. I bet whale village (hehehe) will put out good products. There is a lot of expectations placed on them tho, and they cannot possibly meet all those expectations. In the original link I posted ( on the ableton forum) some guy was gonna install one of those boards into a NOVATION. He said it looked pretty simple. |
