Hi.

Being new to the forum, I hope I am going about this the correct way.

2 basic questions:

1. Can I seriously hope to be able to control the Transport/Mixer Controls of Cubase SX2 with a custom devised G2 patch? I am still pretty green about programming my G2, and very much so about about CC, and all that stuff. Has anybody tried this kind of Cubase control, and did it work out ok?

2. Which dedicated hardware device do forums users recommend for the same applications? The motorised fader route sounds preferable, but all advice happily accepted.

Thank you.

I made this ages ago to control Cubase SX3. It requires spending some time setting up the assignments in preferences. Cubase was only a brief departure from Logic for me and I don't use it anymore, so I can't offer any support on this. Maybe you'll find it useful. It has transport, level and pan controls, plus macros on page E for zero, loop, stop, play, record, and zoom full/out/in. the zoom is pretty cool. we made it with an LFO and it loops, so holding it down zooms in and out.

revisting this now after 2 years, it's actually a pretty awesome general purpose control surface. i'll see what i can do to make it even more logic-friendly.
