I'm looking for just a cheapo G3 machine or something I can use as a dedicated editor for my micro mod.

Anyone have any suggestions for something (hopefully under $80)?

I looked on ebay, but the clamshell G3s are still selling for $250!

Clamshell G3? The iBook? I don´t recommend that one anyway. It doesn´t age well and parts are expensive. Go for any inexpensive G4 or G3 Powermac tower thingie. Very Happy
Even the desktop G3.. the beige boxes.. are just fone for the editor app.

I've been using my old Performa 6360 as a dedicated editor for my Micromodular and it works just fine......very happy that it's found use in my studio as it was my first Mac. Bought it back in '96 for $1100.00....ouch! Worth now about $15.00! But just fine to run the editor in OS8.6. That's all it's used for now. Can be a little on the slow side but it just serves as an example of what an old computer can be used for! Very Happy
