Hi! I've another newbie question Smile :
My SL works without any external controller now. My question is: when I connect an external keyboard or sequencer, how will the SL react? I try to be more understandable: now it emits a continuous note generated by the oscillators and the envelope generator, but when I plug in the connector of the keyboard/sequencer it will mute until I press a key, right?? Sorry but I'm a very newbie and I have not built a sequencer yet, neither a keyboard controller, so I'm very curious... Wink

Thank you very very much for your help!!!

I try and field this though I may not be totally technical. First if you want it to play "notes" or follow scale you'll have to do the 1v/oct scale mod. Second it will operate the way your one shot button works. Gate- push the keyboard it will begin its attack and decay (per how you have the ar set) Trigger-push the key and when you let go it will start its cycle.
I think Embarassed

Hi, I've just solved my problem:
I've tried to put the VCA INITIAL control to zero and switch on the VCA AR GEN selector. The SL mutes its output until I press the manual gate button, and then it runs its envelope cycle. Just the effect I was looking for! Soon I will start building a keyboard... any suggestions? Where can I find a suitable keyboard? Thank you again... I'm still exploring the beautiful world of analog synthesizer Cool Wink
