I wanted to make a slowly rising envelope by combining two inverted AHDs, with one starting 45 secs (the maximum time) after the other. I found that the second never started, but when I tried faster slopes it worked ok. It seems that if you turn hold to 45 secs it will last forever.

I am attaching a patch that demonstrates the problem. It's a bit boring, since you have to wait 45 seconds for nothing to happen Smile

I've only tried it on my G2 Engine , v 1.4.

There are a couple of obvious workarounds, so it isn't a major problem, but it may be a bit difficult to detect, since it will only happen when using very slow movements in sounds.

/Stefan

Experimented a bit more. It seems like values over 30.4 seconds won't work. I also get the feeling that the values don't fit perfectly - if I set the times to, say, 30.4 seconds on H and D on one and D on the other (with 0 everywhere else), and mix the envelopes, there will be a little plateaux (1-2 seconds) in the middle.

I can confirm all of this, including the steady time of one or two seconds for the 30.4 s. selections.

Funny thing is the env still "sort of" knows what it was supposed to do. When after the hold time has finished (and nothing had happened) as soon as you then set the hold time back to 30.4 s it will start to run the decay phase.

Yes, I've seen that too.
