I'm planning a new effect unit, i want it to be a stereo fuzz/distortion unit with a stereo resonant filter.

my question is how do i go about turning a mono filter/fuzz circuit into a stereo one?

I'm guessing doubling the signal path, and replacing the controls with double gang pots. Is that all i need to do?

The fuzz will be based on the commonsound distorter duo, and the filter i'm thinking ms20 or maybe a prophet clone.

sounds for me as double mono. the difference of both channels will result from the components tolerances only.
what about a simple pseudostereo circuit? there where such things on ETI...

i just built jürgen haibles wasp filter clone and it sounds fantastic. its powered from a single rail at 5V+ (may be handy when building a stompbox). BTW you'll find a PCB layout on my site.

This should keep you busy for a while...

...ok, if you crack that nut, and get bored, how about the parent directory:

Thanks for your comments, I'll look into this psuedo stereo thing, I just assumed dual mono would be the way to go.

One thing, what is ETI?

One of the many ETI heroes was Trevor Marshall. His designs were picked up by Maplin.
