From what I remember, by using a carbon pencil- and writing on to a cardboard disc- then the turntable's arm picks up a voltage potential from the carbon- sorry for being rather vague, but you can probably work it out from that. It looked very cool- but not really that musical. It was just fun to watch- and highly amusing Very Happy
