Calendar Event: May 25, 2007 - May 27, 2007

Hi there,

on may,25-27th 2007 there will be the second "Happy Knobbing" in Germany which is a gathering of analog hardware modular synth users.
Only people who come with an analog modular synth will get in there,
e.g. no Clavia G2!

For more information have a look at:
http://www.sequencer.de/synth/forums.html/Happy_Knobbing
(This page will be updated regularly when more details will be definite)

this is not a Question of K or not, it is a question of available Space Ian.

this things where discussed in the past,
those who haveSystems ( and most are not rich Persons ) they want to have it limitated .
Think about: the Systems are free for everybodys use. One can test them
And that you have to bring your own System is a good way to limitate it.

(edit:ok, i deleted here something....................)

One must decide how to organize such meetings................
as sayd:this things where discussed.............

BTW

when one follows the link above for the event, one finds this:
"Modulars aller Art, wer “nur” einen Digitalen mitbringt, MUSS einen Rechner mit Display mitbringen, damit man die Patches sehen kann, macht sonst keinen Spaß, idealerweise noch was dazu Wink Das erste Treffen war noch mit analog only, diesmal haben wir etwas mehr Platz.."

This says : If you bring a software, also bring your computer and screen. Idea Exclamation
This says (in short words): bring ur G2 !!! Shocked

No, it says: "When you bring your digital modular, bring in your computer and screen."

The info part in english (subject to change):

Quote:
# We will allow Clavia Modulars with Computer Screen (to show and talk about the patches), same with Max/MSP and Reason.
# If you want to be set on the schedule for to talk about your system, synthesis or special modules or music stuff let us know. There will be a chance on the event, too (we will stick them on the wall so we will surely have the time)
# All days: 20€ (all incl.), there's room for tents..

If something is unclear register at synthesizerforum.de and ask your questions there in the main HappyKnobbing thread which is linked in the info page.

Software like Reaktor or Max/Msp will be allowed when you bring a computer AND a MIDI controller!
Else the analog guys who have to tote their synths would be discriminated.
This and that softsynths outstripped analog synths was the reason that no soft synths and also no digital stuff (in fact there is only the Clavia Modular G1 + microModular or G2) was allowed at the first HK.

Yes, but it's boring and you won't win a price.

Last time we had 1000 or so MS synths. Rolling Eyes

Quote:
Wer bringt was mit? Wäre prima auch hier übers Forum bekanntzugeben, was kommt. IdR hilft das bei der Abstimmung.

Tranlated:
"Who brings what? Would be nice to notify through the forum (synthesizerforum.de) what you bring. This helps to avoid that everyone comes with the same synth (translated very freely, but this is meant)."
