[Groupbuy] for Cosmo Corp. knobs Subject description: Including the famous moog modular knobs (7602, 7603, 7607) |
|
|
At the end of january (Deadline: 1st february 2007) I will start a groupbuy for knob from the Cosmo Corporation.
(All for 6,3 mm round axis with set screw)
The main part will be Moog-like knobs (incl. the pointer knob).
It is the
7601 -> small Minimoog-like knob (actually not used in the Minimoog, I think)
7602 -> normal Minimoog-like knob
7607 -> Minimoog Pointer knob
They also have good knobs for Encoders (without a marking line):
7202, 7203 and for a kind of jog shuttle (e.g. for the SEQ): 7206
All Encoder types can be found here:
http://www.cosmocorp.com/en/kp-handler.cfm?cat=G&subcat=1&target=1&src=16
Other knobs:
7626 (Pultec EQ style)
7657 (LA2A style, maybe the real one?)
Or if the link doesn't work: Go the to the knob online catalog and do
a search for the part number.
Prices:
Currently we are at 1000+ pieces for the Minimoog-style knob and
250+ pieces for the Pointer knob which makes a fairly good price of less than 1 US $ for the "normal" knob and less than 2 US $
for the Pointer. The small knob 7601 oddly costs a little more than the normal knob and currently there is only a relatively small quantity requested (now a bit more: 500).
The encoder knobs (7202 or 7203) will cost less than 1 US $, when more than 250 pieces are ordered. I myself will order at least 100 pieces,
so this should be no big problem.
The "jog shuttle" knob (7206) will cost less than 3 US $ pp at 50 pieces and more. (I will take 10)
If the quantities are high enough other knobs are of course also possible, e.g. the one mentioned here:
http://www.prodigy-pro.com/forum/post-216531.html#216531
Currently:
7626 (Pultec EQ style)
7603:
100+ 1,8 US $ ea, 250+ 1,27 US $ ea, 500+ 1,08 US $
7626:
50+ 2,48 US $ ea, 100+ 1,48 US $ ea, 250+ 0,95 US $, 500+ 0,76 US $
7657:
100+ 1,68 US $ ea, 250+ 1,15 US $ ea, 500+ 0,95 US $ ea
All prices are bare prices without shipping costs, custom fees, money transfer fees, VAT, etc.
My location is Germany so this is mainly interesting for EU residents
(it doesn't really make much sense to send some knobs back to the USA).
Edit:
Current list (17. jan 2007):

Nope, you're in the right place. However, you may have no replies, because;
a) You only posted this on Sunday
and
b) The majority of DIY contributors here, I imagine, prefer knobs that look a bit different to minimoog knobs Or more to the point source knobs that have been recycled from other gear etc. Also ones that contain more colour other than silver and black.
If I were you, I'd wait another week or so. Then come back and check your posts |

Cosmo doesn't only manufacture Moog-like knobs,
see here:

The knobs arrived last friday. It was a bit of a whodunit. |
