G2 PM tutorial needs a home |
       |

  |

| The G2 PM tutorial is losing its home, and needs to find a new one. I’m happy to put it on Geocities, but if someone else is interested in hosting it, they can have it. It’s been generating about 10 to 15 GB per month in traffic. |

I will check with Howard. We just might have a .electro-music.com server somewhere with some spare bandwidth _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

Yep. The owner is a friend of mine, but the tutorial's bandwith kicked him up into a higher price point.

The tutorial won't vanish. Like I said, I'll put it up on geocities if I don't find any takers. So the worst that will happen is that readers will see geocities ads. |

Ok, that's clear Chet, it just looks a bit sad to see a 404 where once nice pages were. IMO it would be great to have it on electro-music.

I gues you'd need FTP access or something in order to be able to maintain the pages ? _________________ Jan

I can also offer hosting for Chet's pages on PS, but I leave to EM the primary choice

Chet, we can host it here on electro-music.com if that's OK with you. I will send you a PM and we can work on the details. It may take a couple of days for me to get to this because I have jury duty. _________________ --Howard

No, I've never tried bagpipes. I like their sound (for about ten minutes, anyway), but I've never tried to model them. I think it might be rather complex, because there's a monophonic pipe, yet additional drone notes going on. |

That sounds great. electro-music is the best home I can think of.

I love the sound of the military bagpipe marching band: a deep bass drum, those tenor drums and the high tension skin side drums... Two measures percussion, two measures drones and off they march...

Most elderly in The Hague will have goose bumps and tears in their eyes when hearing that sound, made by Canadian soldiers at 12th of may '45...

Hi

Does the Chet's PM tutorial finally found a home ?

I just can't find it anywhere on electro-music, nor on any other web site ...

I started reading it 2 month ago, it's a great tutorial ... I would really appreciate reading the all tutorial...

If there's any trouble in finding a home I can probably help, but I'm sure electro-music is a much better home than anything I can propose... _________________ Christophe Duquesne |

Thanks, Christophe. We can host it here, no problem. We just need to work it out with Chet. _________________ --Howard
