ok so i figured out how to audition one patch at a time and then save the ones i like into spare slots on mmy pcmcia card using 'NordGen"

found here Wink

however this is highly frustrating and i would much prefer to be able to load a complete bank into the nord at a time

I have a copy of sounddiver, howvere it doesnt like the nord 2 and keeps crashing, i guess it is pretty old program

also tried using Bome Send SX which from what i gathered should do it fine, I guess I have two questions:

1, when i send a complete bank to the nord, does anything change on teh nord to signal to me that its happening? I have heard the nord patches should start to scroll thru as it loads? is this true?

2. what do you use to do this, as i said have mastered the single patch at a time, but cant figure the whole bank at a time?

many thanks you guys round this site absolutley rock! Cool

NordGen is just a handy tool to examine single patches, it's not a manager...

I always create a bank in my synthesizer, on the PCMIA cards. If it's ready, I down load it to my computer using Cubase Midi files.

It works just fine.
Uploading to the synth results in the changing of the display by the number of uploaded patch.

I don't know Ableton, but has it a Sysex filter, which has to disabled?
