::open-mic night for laptop and electronic musicians::

Sunday March 28 2004
Cafe Izmir
620 S. 9 Street (btw South and Bainbridge)
Philadelphia, PA
7 PM - free
Hosted by Mikronesia and Hoopty Heaven

OpenSource is an open forum for musicians to get up
and play some of their work or improvisations in a
relaxed creative setting. The format is like a
singer/song-writer open-mic night. For performers, its
a great place to showcase your work and meet other
like minded musicians. For fans of electronic /
ambient styles of music, its a great event, because
you get to see so many different kinds of music. Plus
the performances are so short, if you don't like what
you hear, it will be over in 10 minutes! Sign-ups to
perform start around 7 PM and we'll go until about 11
PM. Each performer gets about 10-15 mins to play. The
space is small, so in the spirit of an open-mic night
we ask that each performers setup be compact, you need
to be able to setup in under 5 mins. We'll have a
mixer so just bring your own 1/4 inch output cables to
plug into the mixer.

Thanks,
Michael
