Calendar Event: April 21, 2007

The East Tennessee ambient duo, Mark Mahoney and M. Peck are hosting another night of electronic music in Johnson City, Tennessee. On April 21 Howard Moscovitz (Mosc) will share the stage with Mahoney and Peck as well as thereminists, The Electro Magnet Duo, from Asheville, NC. There's even talk of some fire breathing performers. There will also be a VJ on hand to add some visual pychedelia to the event. This promises to be a fantastic show. Show starts at 8:30 pm at the Acoustic Coffee House's Next Door stage, 415 W. Walnut St., Johnson City, TN.

No we didn't. This was quite on topic- as it is based around a link from the coffee-house website. Obviously this venue has a sense of humour, and this should be encouraged Very Happy

I don't know about the moonshine, but one should definitely stay off the Italian heart attack inducer, the granita

The expresso ones are the best imo. a few of these and the hot sun in Rome (or Florence for that matter- despite that these are a Sicilian invention Wink ), and you know you've been spoken to!! Laughing

Yeah. . .you did.

The Coffee House does have a sense of humor and is very liberal politically. They have a unique situation where there is an open mike in the coffee shop, and next door is a stage/event venue. We'll be Next Door. You can see the stage from the picture of Michael and me on the Front Page of electro-music. It's a small stage and the venue seats about 75-90 people. We're going to bring in a JBL pa system with some subs, so the sound should be quite nice. I understand that The Electromagnet Duo is a father/son team. And yes, one of our noise performers had a jar of Tennessee moonshine that some of Ace Paradise's friends (including one Michael Victor) partook in.

Mark you are mistaken.
I shared no mooshine with Swamp Wizard. I think that was one name
that noise performer went by.
I did have a couple beers but heavens, no white lightning passed these lips.

You were a wise man. That was Todd from The Growth. There will be no noise bands this time around. But I am hoping for the fire breathers; not that their performance is digital or anything electronic.
