If you had some shots of it under subdued lighting going through a slideshow, with some Barry White playing in the background, and you charged an entry fee, you could make a mint! Laughing

Has anyone else ever seen a DS3? I found this one today at the junk shop for AU$10. It's made by "Asama", (I had to reassure Felicity that it wasn't a terrorist device! Laughing )
I haven't ventured inside yet, but I'm keen to see how it differs from the DS7/8. It's got 7 controls,
Rate
Mode
Sweep
Volume
Decay
VCO
Intensity
An output jack, and two jacks labelled "FT/SW"

I'll keep you posted as to what I find inside.

Nice! Very Happy We want a clone! Wink

I should think the EH Space Drum sweep generator might widen the options of this unit.

I can split it at my SDS 3 post? OK?

Please don´t post anything in this thread before that is done.

Done.

Anyways, I love the SDS 3. I triggered it from sequencers too, and the device sounded really fat. It would be cool to have a modular version of it.
It would also be cool to have 8 channels and not 4. Cool

http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-2301.html

The boooom drum starting at approx 6:41 is the SDS 3 triggered by a sequencer. It´s pretty low so it won´t register on laptop speakers though. Very Happy

Hmmmmm,
Very nice track Stein.

DS3 board shots coming soon. I've been testing/tweaking the Sorcerer.

Yay!

You all don't think the Moog vcf has anything to do with the SDS3 sounding so good, do you?

The schematic came with some other files. They have been combined in this file:
http://www.simmons.synth.net/sds34/docs/sds_3_service_scoops.pdf
from here:
http://www.simmons.synth.net/sds1000/

The site also has a good guts shot of the SDS4. You can see the twisted wires of the LM301 noise source (I always wondered about that on the schematic).
