Does anyone know why I am getting such massive re-draw problems?
Basically if I am running cubase sx 2 as a midi sequencer, and I open a vst synth it is fine,
but if i actually have the synth gui on screen the cpu goes off the scale
and I have major latency/click problems and a very sluggish mouse.

I didn't have this happening before so I am doubly confused.

Actually yes. Exclamation I have auto updates off, but I did install the sp2 pack.
Do you think this has something to do with it?
I have had major problems with the up dates before, ie. I was unable to connect to the net for months before I found the problem.

I'm not sure but I had some weird stuff regarding slowness of drawing after a recent XP security update at work.

One of the programs that was upgraded was internet explorer (to version 7) and that new internet explorer was very slow in drawing webpages, so slow that the scroll wheel was not usable anymore. This was on two older PCs although the video cards were not too bad I think,

I didn't see it at home at newer pc's. So I think there might be such an issue. Couldn't find anything on the web about it as of yet.
