i'm looking for a trazistor that could act like a swithch in toys. tranzistor would be triggered by another point in same toy or different one. is this possible? what type of tranzistor am i looking? value?

This question is too hard to answer Very Happy

A transistor is not really a switch although it can be made to behave in a switch like manner under certain conditions. To come up with a circuit some things would have to be known like the characteristics of the thing setting it on and off and the characteristics of the load. It might very well be impossible to solve the problem with a single transistor.

This might work on some things. You are a bender so why not try it and see Laughing

As best I recall, it works even without the diode.

You might want to try to experiment with a 4066 quad analog switc IC instead of the transistor.

You can take a look on my website here :

http://www.mikmo.dk/cbinterfacedetails.html

to see how i used it in a bend toy. I used it for triggeruing switches in a bent toy from a computer but the input to the IC could come from another source

this is what i had in mind.
point 1 and 2 on toy1 are bend points. i connect them and toy bends.
can i deliver external power from another toy to this?
can this be done?
or should i go mikmo way?

With the 4016/4066 you could also control the bend with an external gate sequencer Cool

but the transistor idea is good too, I'll try that one Smile
