Wow nice place.. just reading a few posts.. but now you all have me worried..

I have my Andromeda now I think 3-4 years and all seems well, I've never really had any tuning problems.. the usual autotune at switch on usually does the job.. and it stays fine afterwards ..but after reading some posts, the majority are about oscillators going bad?

I've read in the manual that if an oscillator does go out of tune an X will appear on the tuning screen.. and you have an option to turn it off.

So.. my question is.. what would be the life expectancy of these oscillators?

most problems described are due to badly produced a6's/ badly selected osc or filter chips, or problems with the motherboard at the factory, with new a6's.
so when your a6 is oke it probably stay so for a longer period, wouldn't worry too much if i were you, just enjoy it.
