The only one who can make that decision is Thomas Henry.
Surprise, he is a member here

Right, if I understand it correctly, there may be a few things even Thomas may not be able to give permission for - things that may have appeared in magazine articles, co-designs with other people. Things like that.
Ultimately Thomas will know those details.
Cheers,

Scott said it well. As a matter of fact, the ADV-Snare, ADV-Bass and ModBox were co-designs with Jack Orman. Moreover, the paperwork for these designs were sold outright to Nuts & Volts Magazine and Electronics Now which retain the copyrights. (Of course, Electronics Now is defunct, but they may have transferred the rights before going under). I can usually grant permission to reprint stuff of mine, but not these since strictly speaking they aren't entirely mine.
Actually, this is one of the reasons I got away from co-designs (I only did a handful). I sort of like keeping the copyright/ownership thing simple. |

Hi Thomas
Is this the case with the Tunable Noise Generator
Or is that different as nuts and volts has the article in the public domain ?
I would just like to say that it is a fine module Thomas and worth some discussion
cheers Paul D |

On the other hand, you could always write Nuts & Volts Magazine and see if they would give you permission to post the schems here at least. They own the entire thing, but I bet if you promised to link back to their Web site they'd say "yes."
But consider that the up-coming UD-1 Drum Voice is far more versatile, and then it may become a moot point (or as one of my colleagues at the college is prone to say, a "mute point"---I guess she's a person of few words.)

Yup Thomas is bang on here. No permission, no schematics. Period. Link to external sites are OKAY- as long as they are legit.
I wrote to Nuts and Volts a while back concerning the UD-1. They were very friendly, and gave us permission to post. But a link in return is absolutely imperative.

If I'm not mistaken, the SN voice and Supercontroller can do tunable noise? _________________ ACHTUNG!

They do.
Also, I see the links to the Nuts & Volts articles have posted all in one place. I think Scott should do likewise with all of my designs that are on his site. For that matter, might it not be a good thing to have all of my current designs that are on the Web listed in one place with links?
By the way, once I get through the term papers and turn in final grades (next week), more designs are to come...

That's a great idea. I'll upload them here, make it a sticky, and point back to my pages for designs I have pages for, for more info.
