Subject description: A work around for remapping the pedal, wheel and global wheels to different CC#

Hi all,

Haven't been active here for a rather long time, but i am still around. And now i've got something that migth be of interest to some G2 users.

One of the few flaws of the G2 is the fact that the user can't alter some of the default midi CC# that are sent by the controllers of the G2. For example, the control pedal always send cc11. This is sometimes a pita, because receiving equipment doesn't always allow to alter the effects of certain received cc#.

I've had this problem with driving a V-synth XT with the G2, the G2 insisting in sending CC11 and the V-synth insisting in applying this as volume control. And i want to control the filter cutoff, or in fact i want to have this configurable.

But i'm glad i found this workaround:)

When you switch off the G2 sending-of-controllers in the system settings (system - Midi Ctrl = Receive) it doesn't send any CC# from the controllers to the V-synth. Duh.
But then you can make a patch containing the Device module, connect the Control Pedal output from this module to a Midi CTRL send module, and voila, the cc# from the CtrlSend module *is* being sent to the V-synth! So at last it is configurable.....not in a very elegant way, but still. See the patch for what i've made for the V-synth, it applies to all controllers (Modwheel, pedal, global wheels).

Now i hoped it would work the other way around, that when i set the system receiving of CC# off, the MidiRcve module would still receive CC#. But alas, that doesn't work! Not very consistent....

Well, hope somebody appreciate this information, and happy patching for all of you.
